

Michael Stewart Craig, 44, of Killeen, died Tuesday, April 29. He was born June 4, 1969 in Fort McClellan, Alabama as the youngest of six children. He grew up in Killeen and worked for many years as a salesman who positively impacted all those with whom he worked. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and nephew who will be greatly missed. Michael gave us laughter and tears in equal measure and made us better people because of it. Recently he had found fulfilling employment in the landscaping business and truly enjoyed working with his nephew, David Garrell and friend, J.T. Haun. Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Craig of Harker Heights; father, Norton W. Craig of Largo, Florida; brother, Kym Craig; sisters, Valerie Craig Barker (Rick), Marjory D. Wilson, Deborah J. Wallace (Lou), and Maria Elaine Craig-Bruni (Ray); his children, the lights of his life, Andrea Sanchez, Julia J. Craig, Michael S. Craig Jr., Liam X. Craig, and Ian S. Craig. He is also survived by two grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews, 5 great-nieces and nephews, and his aunts and uncles. Michael was best known for his easy-going way and his love of football. Most importantly, Michael passionately loved his children and his family and was on a positive path in life. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Crawford Bowers in Killeen with funeral services following at 10:00 Monday, May 5 2014, at Harker Heights United Methodist Church.
