Michael entered the military January 7, 1980 and retired April 30, 1995. He was a proud Calvary Scout last serving with BTRY B 1st BN 7th CAV FC. During his time he deployed to Korea and to Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After retirement he obtained his bachelor degree from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor which he used to continue to support the military through various jobs as a contractor until 2016 when he finally retired for good.
Michael left behind his wife Rhonda Dunagan, three sons Patrick, Russell and Jon and six grandchildren. Along with four sisters and one brother.
Services for Michael will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home 1615 S. Fort Hood Rd Killeen, Texas 76542. Viewing will be Wednesday September 28, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Followed by services on Thursday September 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at 1p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery.
