Muliau T. Sailiatu

Funeral services for Muliau Semika "Sam" Sailiata, 57, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Interment will follow at Killeen City Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Sailiata died Jan. 30, 2011. He was born May 19, 1953, in the village of Faleniu, American Samoa.

He was married to Iulia Sailiata and had five children, Meilani, Lee, Tina, Samantha and Little Semika. Mr. Sailiata had nine grandchildren, Johnny, Jasmine, Meilani, Charity, Raven, Suzette, Stephanie, Fa'ailoa and Jesse. His parents were Sailiata Tunupopo (deceased) and Faitafa M. Tunupopo. He had one sister, Loise S. Seigafo and six brothers, Sailiata (deceased), Farane, Anetone, Aviata, Taumaivale, and Afafulifao.

He attended Vaovai Primary School (Western Samoa), Pava'ia'i Elementary School (American Samoa), and graduated from Leone High School in American Samoa. Before he passed away, he was employed by the Copperas Cove Walmart. He is surrounded by many loving family members, uncles, aunties, nephews and nieces and cousins who traveled from afar to pay their respects and to honor him.

The family wishes to thank all of the friends and local churches for their outpouring of love and prayers. "We could have not make it without all of your support. May God bless you for all that you have done for me and my family."

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
