

Nancy Lou Martinka (Turpin) passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, at the age of 76. Nancy was born on December 18, 1949 in Paris, Illinois to Floyd and Betty Turpin. Over the years she touched countless lives with her kindness and generosity.
Nancy’s life was rich in love. She married Gene Martinka on March 31, 1979. Together they shared a beautiful family. She cherished her role as a mother and Grammy. Their children,
Gene-a Salvati (Adam), Cosette Brannon (Jeff), Jauna Cothran, Steven McCullough (Jeanne), and Jarret Martinka (Becky) will carry on with her generosity and kindness. Her true pride and joy was being Grammy to her grandchildren: Jessica Norris (Robert), Colton Brannon (Melissa), Collin Brannon (Laura), Tyler Davis (Morgan Norris), Sara Salvati (Kyle), Caroline Salvati (Brice), Kemble Neitsch (Jonny), Tyler Martinka, Jacob Martinka, Nate Cothran, Gavin Brannon, and 11 great grandchildren.
Nancy was actively involved in her church, St. Paul Chong Hasang, where she found solace and joy in her faith. She was a member of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem. Her faith provided her with comforting guidance throughout her short illness.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Larry Turpin, and her son in law, Jeff Brannon.
Nancy’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. She will remain forever in the hearts of her husband, family, and friends.
