She was born June 1, 1940 in Cameron, Texas to David G. and Carrie M. Anderson.
Nedra attended O.J. Thomas School. She married Henry Brinkley in 1965 and had five children.
Nedra will always be remembered for her reading, sewing, and watching cowboy western shows.
Nedra worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the medical profession for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, John C. Taplin, Alvera Burkhawlter, Eliza L. Johnson and nephews, Jimmy Irving and Anthony Frazier.
Nedra is survived by her five sons, Tony Anderson, Anthony Dargan, Dwight Dargan, Thomas Brinkley and Eric Brinkley, a sister, Tommye Cunningham Malone, grandchildren, Courtney Batch, Jasmaine Dargan, Alexis Dargan, Calum Anderson, Philana Anderson, Erin Brinkley, Keyon Brinkley, Marla McDill, Mynisha Johnson, Asia Morton,and Mercedes Manham (Haynes), a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Anita Pelham, Michael Littlejohn, David Frazier, and Terrell Johnson and a host of great nieces and a host of great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 18th at 10 am in the Crawford Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Killeen City Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
