Patricia J Levy

Patricia Jane Levy passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on January 31, 2026 at her home in Killeen, TX in the company of close family members. Patricia was born on February 6,1945 in Sherman, TX to U.S. Army Sergeant First Class John Guffey and Martha Guffey. After spending her early childhood in San Antonio, Patricia’s family moved to Killeen when her father was assigned to Fort Hood, where he continued his long military career.

Killeen would remain Patricia’s lifelong home and the heart of her family story. She graduated from Killeen High School in 1963 and married Stanley Levy beginning a devoted partnership and a growing family. Patricia and Stan had four children and Pat was proud to have raised her family in Killeen.

A proud Texas Longhorn, Patricia earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas, Austin in 1990. She put her heart and soul into her calling as an educator. From 1991 until her retirement in 2012, she was a beloved science and chemistry teacher at Ellison High School. Over the years, she made a lasting and positive impact on hundreds of Killeen students.

Patricia was an avid gardener and antique collector. She loved playing card games, watching classic movies, and working crossword puzzles and Sudoku. As matriarch of an extremely athletic family she enjoyed sports of all kinds. She will be remembered as a connoisseur of Texas cuisine, especially barbecue, nachos, Dr. Pepper, and Blue Bell ice cream. She never failed to extend Texas hospitality to family and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Stan, infant son Robert, and brothers Stephen and David. She is survived by daughter Cindy Selph and husband Daniel, daughter Karen Kline and husband Walter, son Ray Levy and fiancé Crystal Orlando, and her brothers John Guffey and Patrick Guffey and wife Judy. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.

Patricia will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the deep love she gave to her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
