Rebecca Hurry

After graduating high school, Rebecca married a young US Solider, Larry Hurry. The couple and their son, Jeffrey, enjoyed traveling around the United States and Europe as a military family.

Upon making Killeen their new home, Rebecca became an avid member of the Ft. Hood Thrift Shop. She also loved animals and would often volunteer with the Killeen Second Chance Animal Shelter. Providing a foster home for new born puppies was a great joy for Rebecca and something that she did until her health began to fail.

Rebecca is also preceded in death by her step-father Issac Fields, one sister Ruth Dudick and one brother Ronald Savant.

She leaves a lifetime of heartfelt memories with her husband of 42 years, Larry Hurry of Killeen, TX; a son Jeffrey Hurry and one grandson, Mason Cuthbertson both of Temple, TX.

Rebecca is also survived by her brothers, Roland Savant and his wife Kay of Arlington, TX; David Yeakle of Austin, TX; Richard Yeakle of Deridder, LA; sister Nancy Huckaby and her husband Darrell of Deridder, LA; and numerous other relatives located throughout Arlington, TX, Lake Charles, LA, Deridder, LA and Kinder, LA.

The Hurry family will receive guests for a time of visitation Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen.
