Born December 21, 1925 to Dick and Delores Gossard of Urbana, Illinois; while
stationed in Idaho immediately following WW2, he met and married his
surviving wife of 67 years, Hazel Pauline Rahricht.
A 30 year military career included 3 wars, many campaigns and countless awards.
Upon culminating his Army career in 1979, CSM Gossard retired to his Killeen, Texas
home in which the family had lived since 1959.
He is survived by his son Jim, daughters Teresa Carter of Allardt, Tennessee and Debra Payne of
Cumming, Georgia; along with seven grand children; two great grandchildren
and Bambi, his favorite little dog. He is also survived by his brother, Ramon Gossard of
Long Beach, California.
He is predeceased by his sister Lois Kathan.
