SSG (Ret) Roberto Medina

Celebration of Life services for SSG (Ret) Roberto Medina, 40, of Killeen, will be 12:30 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen on Friday, June 12, 2015. Interment will follow at 2 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Medina passed away June 5, 2015 in Killeen. He was born January 7, 1975 in Brooklyn, New York to Joaquin Medina Sr. and Amada Candelaria.

He retired after 15 years from the US Army after serving in Afghanistan, Bosnia & Iraq. He married Anna Rivera on December 7, 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Medina of Killeen; daughters, Victoria and Patricio Medina-Hernandez of Killeen, and Amanda and Joey Icmat of Killeen; mother, Amada Candelaria of Killeen and father, Joaquin Medina Sr. of Puerto Rico; brothers, Alejandro, Joaquin and Brian; sisters, Roseangel, Caitlyn, Kimberly and Jessica; grandchildren, Sebastian Hernandez and Jaylani Icmat of Killeen; aunts, Raquel Cintron; cousins, Vanessa Cintron and Angelica Cintron; nephews, Michael Rivera and Jose Andres Hernandez;step father, Artemio Santiago; brother in law, Samuel Rivera.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 12th from 10 am to 12 pm at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Words of comfort may be made to the family at www.CrawfordBowers.org.
