Rodney Allen Hamilton Jr. was born to Rodney Sr. and Delores, in Pasadena Texas, and this world will never be the same. Today we have gathered to celebrate this short but amazing life.
Here is an excerpt from his brother Allen’s Facebook post:
“My little brother was one of the strongest men I have known in my life, and his death wouldn’t stop him from being that. He was a light in the darkest of rooms, and a smile among frowns. If you were ever upset and he came around, it wasn’t too long and he would have you smiling like it had all gone away. I heard several people say the same thing about him and well, that’s because it’s true. He was a caring and giving person in life, and will continue to do so for long after. Whether it be from his contributions to help others or his memory that will forever bring a smile to someone who knew his face. I can only imagine how many conversations will have “Do you remember that one time when Rodney said or did that?” I’m sure all of us will have a million stories that will include those words. He will forever bring all us that knew him to tears with just a thought of his passing. Followed by a smile or happy tears of us sharing how he touched our life in some way.”
Here’s one from Charley:
“My best friend, My big brother, My father. It’s so unreal to me your gone. You’ve influenced me by and in so many ways. You showed me what it is to love someone, you have come so far in your life, I’ve seen you at your worst and been there for your best moments. You have no idea how many lives you have saved by giving up your own. You put up a fight and you didn’t lose. I love you so much. You will always be my father, a grandfather to my children. And a father-in-law to the man I marry. I am so proud of you. I look up to you in so many ways, you may have left this world physically, but spiritually you are here. You will have a say in everything I choose to do from this point on. I lost an angel with wings tonight and God just gained an amazing one. Rock on Dad, you will live on. I love you!”
Rodney loved to ride, and felt more at home on the road than anywhere else. That’s where his soul was at rest. Where he was at peace.
What else is there to say except that we Love you Rodney, we will think of you and miss you every day. See ya soon…
