

He was preceded in death by his parents. Ronald is survived by Laurie (Brad) Kent of Leander, Texas; Randy (Allison) Culp of Salado, Texas; granddaughter Sydney Kent of Austin, Texas; granddaughter Marin Kent of Denton, Texas; grandson Easton Culp of Port Arthur, Texas; grandson Cannon Culp of Salado, Texas. Also surviving is his sister, Janell Henson of Killeen, Texas; niece Kathey Lozano of Belton, Texas; nephew Nathan McCaa of Troy, Texas.
Ronald was a 1963 graduate of Killeen High School. He was a long time employee of The First National Bank of Killeen and Citizens’ National bank. His most important role was that of deacon for the First Baptist Church in Killeen. He rarely missed Sunday school or morning service in all of his 80 years. He was a member of the choir and numerous committees. He helped to build sets for musicals, cook for church members, and even drove the church bus at one point. When not at the First Baptist Church, you could find Ron deer hunting, dove hunting, or tinkering with cars.
He loved the music of Johnny Cash, Roy Clark, Willie Nelson, and Gene Autry.
He enjoyed fishing and family vacations mostly at nearby Lake Buchanan. He was an active member of the Rotary Club.
A Celebration of Life will be at First Baptist Church in Killeen, Texas
Wednesday, March 19th at 10:00am.
