Sandra Oslin Bright, 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025 — a fitting day for a woman who embodied love, nurturing, and selfless care. Born on November 6, 1941, in Porum, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Alva and Maudie Oslin.
Sandra never met a stranger. Her warmth, generous spirit, and vibrant personality made everyone feel like family. She had a gift for laughter, for kindness, and for lifting up those around her — and she did so with grace, compassion, and joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth (Cowboy) Bright, with whom she shared a beautiful life and lasting love. Together, they built a family that became her greatest pride.
Sandra is survived by her devoted children: Kenny Ray Bright (Jana), Thayne Bright (Rikki), Gordon Bubba Bright (Rebecca), and Kasey Bright (Scott); five adoring grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren who lit up her world and brought her endless joy.
For many years, Sandra poured her heart into volunteering with Families in Crisis of Killeen, offering her strength, time, and compassion to others in their hardest moments. She was also a treasured friend and familiar face at the Killeen Senior Center, where she was affectionately known as the “Social Butterfly.” Her laughter could fill a room, and her presence brought comfort and joy to countless lives.
Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love — one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is now reunited with those who went before her, held in the eternal embrace of peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her honor to Families in Crisis of Killeen, to continue the legacy of service and love that Sandra so beautifully lived.
