A Graveside Service for Shirley will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Killeen, TX.
Shirley Ann was a remarkably kind woman who loved her family. She was affectionately known as "Oma" by her grandchildren with a "great" added to it by her great-grands.
She was very well travelled not only living in various states across the U.S. during her life but also overseas for a time. She earned a bachelor's degree in science & education because she loved to teach others and volunteered at the local elementary school in her spare time over the years. She was a retired member of the board of realtors which she served for over twenty years.
She was someone who could find the beauty in things where most could not. Her memory remained as sharp as a tack. Her reminiscing and telling funny stories of her life’s adventures is a fond memory her family will treasure.
Her hobbies included scrapbooking, family genealogy and her infamous doll collection. Her distinct laugh and special phone calls will be greatly missed, especially during the holidays which she loved so dearly.
Shirley is survived by her son John and his family including five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren as well as family from her native home state of Pennsylvania.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.crawfordbowersfuneralhome.com for the Scharf family.
