I googled Sylvia Addington to try to find my 4th grade teacher, from 1994-1995, Only to find out she had passed the same day I tried to find her. I really enjoyed her class when I was younger. She wrote on the back of a paper we had to draw in class and told me to keep a folder with my drawings and I guess that was the start of my first portfolio. I still have that paper and have since graduated with a fine art degree and am now teaching Elementary Art. I wanted to call her and tell her about the news I thought she would have appreciated the call from her (now 38year old) student  and that I hadn’t forgotten my 4th grade teacher. Rest peacefully Mrs. Addington, Thank you.

Sylvia was one of the kindess people i have ever worked with. Her heart of gold shined everyday in the classroom. The students adored her and she loved them , too.  My son had the pleasure of being a student in her class.  We will always cherish the special moments with her.  God Bless her family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I went to Sauquoit Valley school with Sylvia, and have wonderful memories of her.  She was kind and thoughtful to all of us who knew her.   We had the best pajama parties at her Mom's - and we would reminisce about them.  We enjoyed the family photos she posted, and know how much her family meant to her.
She will be missed.
