Terry Hefner

Mrs. Hefner was surrounded by her loving family when she went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 6. She was a courageous fighter who always trusted in the Lord during her seven year battle with cancer.

Terry was born on October 14, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Frederick and Jeanne Pavoggi. She married the love of her life and soul mate Dannie Charles Hefner on August 11, 1973. Everyone knew how Terry loved her family. Her husband, children and especially grandchildren were the light of her life.

Terry was a classroom teacher and coach for 17 years until she became a Campus Technologist for Killeen ISD for 7 years. She retired as an Instructional Technology Consultant for Killeen ISD in 2003.

She was a kind-hearted friend to all who put everyone else’s needs before her own. She was the epitome of strength in the midst of the storm.

Survivors include her husband, Dannie, daughter Christy Cosper and husband Scott, son Robert Hefner and son Andie Hefner. Her two loving granddaughters, Taylor and Kaitlyn Cosper will miss her the most.

Other survivors include mother Jeanne Pavoggi, sister Susan Cody, sister Sharon Wall and husband Mike, sister Janice Douglas, sister Donna Talbert and husband Ted, brother John Pavoggi and wife Heidi, brother Tom Pavoggi and wife Liesa, sister Mary Pavoggi, sister-in-law Susan Lees and husband Gary, brother-in-law Joe Hefner and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is at 5:30pm Friday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Crawford Bowers Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
