Theron Mayo Golliheair of Killeen, TX passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the care of his loving family. He was born on March 18, 1921 in Bell County Texas, where he lived his entire 92 years. His parents were William M. Golliheair and Dora Mae (Shedd) Golliheair; both preceded him in death.
Theron married Clara Morine Kelly in 1941 and were the proud parents of 2 daughters.
He was a longtime member of Youngsport Church of Christ. Theron was also a farmer/rancher and local business man. Theron was best known as the owned & operated Golliheair's Welding Shop where his slogan was “anything welded but a broken heart”. Later in life became the owner/operator Tom's Auto Supply.
Theron is survived by his wife of 71 years, Clara Morine Golliheair of Killeen TX, their 2 daughters, Mary E. Lawrence of Arlington, TX and Estel Mae Garrett and her husband Donald of Dardenne Prairie, MO.
He will also be missed by his grandchildren; John D. Lawrence and his wife Memarie of Farmersville, TX, Lisa V. Gates and her husband Gary of Mansfield, TX, Patricia A. Tapia of Mansfield, TX, Steven H. Lawrence of Nacogdoches, TX, Milissa Tharp and her husband Darryl of Union, MO, Kimberly Besgrove and her husband Philip of St. Louis, MO, Daryl W. Garrett and his Wife Kim of Dardenne Prairie, MO; 11 great-grandchildren and 5 brothers and sisters; Margaret Stone of Lubbock, TX, Bobbie Hess of Midland, TX, Joe Denton and her husband Harry of College Station, TX, Johnny Gentry and her husband Wade of Garland, TX and Howard Golliheair and his wife June of Kettlecreek, WA.
The Golliheair family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen with Pastor Ed Milton of Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Nolanville.
