1SGT (Ret) Thomas Fisher

Thomas Ray Fisher, 84, of Killeen, TX passed away peacefully on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Rosewood Skilled Nursing Home Center. Born in Forrest City, AR to Roy & Pearl Fisher, he lived most of his life in Killeen.

Thomas served in the US Army for 24 years with tours of duty in Korea, Germany & Vietnam. His awards & decorations included the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He was actively involved in the community with numerous organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign War, Purple Heart, Disabled Veterans, America Legion and the 40/8. Thomas was also a member of the Karem Shrine and a 32 degree Mason; he was also a member of First Baptist Church Killeen

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years Lenora Fisher, daughter Lisa Huff, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 5-7pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen; funeral service will be Friday at 1:30pm at Crawford-Bowers with Dr. Randy Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
