MSgt Willie B Stewart USAF(Ret)

It is great sorrow that we announce the passing of Willie B. Stewart Jr. of Austin, TX who passed away on 5/22/2025 at the age of 72.

Willie B. Stewart Jr. was born on 11/18/1952 in Shreveport, LA. He joined the US Air Force in 1971 and served as an active member of the military until his retirement in 1992 as a MSGT. In 1993 he joined the Abbott Laboratory family where he worked as a mechanic for 19 years and retired in 2012. Willie B. Stewart Jr. was known to be very reserved and humble to some, but also loved to laugh and tell stories with others. His hobbies included building cars and mixing music, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. He stated that his family was his greatest legacy.

Surviving Willie B. Stewart Jr. is his loving wife Nida Stewart; children Jacquez Stewart, Angela Riggs, and Michael Stewart; grandchildren Kashia Vasquez, Cierra Rivera, and Jaylen Riggs; great grandchildren Malaïa Gonzales and Eloise Vasquez.

A visitation for Willie will be held Monday, June 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, Texas 76542. A funeral will occur Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:30 AM, 1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, Texas 76542. A committal service with full air force honors will occur Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
