Private services for Retired Master Sergeant Willie C. Walton were celebrated in Killeen, Texas. Will served within the division of Military Intelligence from 1958 until 1981, and made connections and friends throughout the world. He served as a Security Specialist with the Los Alamos National Lab until 1996, was known for his expert skills as a polygraph examiner and locksmith. He was also a licensed instructor and technician for scuba diving. His hobbies included traveling, photography, sewing, and caring for feral cats. Willie loved to learn, and pursued this passion throughout his entire life.
Will passed quietly on the morning of June 13, 2015 in his home after a brief illness. Will is survived by his four children: Carroline Weaver of Spokane, Washington, Vivian (Nan) Huffar of Atlanta, Georgia, Pamela and William Quintern of Columbia, Maryland, and Warren (Bruce) Walton of Chandler, Arizona, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren, all who will miss him and loved him.
Arrangements are with Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, and he will be laid to rest at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Condolences can be offered at www.crawfordbowers.org. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Willie's name to the charity of your choice.
