Sigurd Emil “Andy” Andersen passed away on January 27, 2011 at the age of 91. Andy was born on August 22, 1919 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He served as Captain in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked for 41 years for Anderson-Clayton, retiring in 1985. He was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and volunteered for 10 years at the St. Luke’s Hospital auxiliary. He was preceded in death by parents Albert and Josefa and wife of 66 years, Hazel Dupree. He is survived by son Daryl, son Kenneth and his wife Kathy, daughter Lori and her husband David Vickers, grandchildren Garth, Jennifer, Laura, Brandy, great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Zoe, brother Albert, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 30 at Kingwood Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm. Donations may be made in Andy’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
