Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, Betina spent her childhood across the country until she finally settled in Texas, where she cultivated the values of hard work, resilience, and kindness that would define her life. She was deeply committed to her career, forging meaningful relationships with her coworkers, who became like an extended family. Her dedication, work ethic, and support for those around her left an indelible mark on her workplace and community.
Betina’s heart held a special place for animals, and she devoted much of her life to caring for them. Whether it was rescuing strays or showering her own pets with love, her empathy for all creatures was boundless, a reflection of her generous spirit.
As a single mother, Betina’s greatest pride and joy was her son, Christopher. She dedicated herself to his upbringing, instilling in him the same compassion and strength that she embodied. Later, her heart expanded even further with the arrival of her grandson, Callum, lovingly known as the apple of her eye. As “Nene,” Betina formed a special bond with Callum, in such a short period of time.
Betina’s sudden departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew her. She is survived by her son, Christopher, her mother, Erica, her brother, James, and a circle of friends and colleagues who will forever remember her as a beacon of kindness, humor, and selflessness.
A celebration of life for Betina will be held at a later date at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
Betina’s legacy of love, compassion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
