Betty was a graduate of Edison High School in 1973. She later moved to the Houston area and eventually settled in Kingwood. Not too long after, Betty became a member of Kingwood United Methodist Church, where she became very active. Betty volunteered in many different things. Oaks of Righteousness and the Bus Ministry were two organizations that she held very near and dear to her heart. Betty touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Those left to honor and cherish Betty’s memory are her son, Shea M. Byrd; brothers, David Reed and Howard Reed.
A memorial celebration in honor of Betty’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday October 10, 2014 at Kingwood United Methodist Church, 1799 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339.
