            God has gained a wonderful angel. He must be proud of you Carmen. You were a great friend and great teaching partner. I remember my daughter said you treated her like your own granddaughter and she liked that. I will greatly miss you when I go back to teaching the 1st communion classes. You always treated me like a brother and you were very caring. I will miss our conversations. I know we will meet again. Although I personally never met Carmen I along with many others prayed for her and was hoping to see her walk out of that hospital with a smiling face. My lovely sister Carmen,

Today begins our final journey to laying your earthly body to rest. I know it will be hard for all our " Big G" family. But if I know you. You already have talked to God to give your family the strength and faith to continue living your legacy you paved for your girls and grandkids.

Being the oldest born of our 6 pack of siblings. I remember our Dad always telling me to lead by example. That I had younger sisters and brothers that were watching and learning. We all learned from each other to grow and keep our faith through our Mom. I'm sure the others would agree you were the true follower of God and showed it everyday to anyone. Your heart of Gold was  a blessing from God.

I will miss your calls and always saying " Hey Bro". Your caring for me during my hip surgeries this year I will never forget. You even got on me for trying to cut my grass. You said you would come and cut it with Fabina. Always concerned of others well being before yours.

I know we will miss you physically here with us everyday. But we know you fulfilled what God's plan was here. You witnessed the word of God to family and strangers. Today I know you made a big difference in so many peoples lives.

Sister I will miss you everyday. Your memory will live in our family  at all our gatherings and events. Yes our chain is broken. But you have gone to start a new one for us. I'm so glad you are not suffering anymore and are new again. Please say hello to our Dad and your son Nicolas. If you can give our Michael a big hug and kiss from Glenda and I.

Sorry I was able to take you and my other sisters on another fishing trip to Sabine. Just know you will always be there with us in our hearts and mind.

He gave his name and insurance, and the ins verifier asked him if his wife’s name was Gayle and worked at Aetna… it was Carmen…being the macho man he is he was embarrassed anyone knew why he was there… she gave him special treatment… What a small world we live in…

My dear sister Carmen . Wow where do I begin on describing what a wonderful person you were to your family and everyone around you .. A loving mother,sister and grandmother. Your  love was unconditional and you had a heart of gold . My heart hurts that your no are longer here with us and I will forever be grateful for your care for me and my family while we weren’t feeling well. You were the families nurse as we all said before . There will be many things that remind me of you as I drive down the road I will reflect on all the great memories we had in our lifetime. Our birthdays are one day apart and I will celebrate with you every year I promise . Sister you put up a dam good fight and we know that your now resting peacefully with Jesus in no more pain.  You were always his Angel 👼 doing his work here on earth and now your are next to him in heaven . We will one day be together with you and Dad and Nicholas in Heaven . As we all sit here we still can not comprehend our new reality.  We are lost, still in shock, and no where near ready to let go. We still had so many plans in motion and now where do we go from here? You were always the one we could run too, the one to make sure we were ok after being sick. You are the world's best Wella ❤. This past year has been the hardest but we made it. Your last mission on earth was complete and God really needed you by his side. You left some very big shoes to fill, and nothing will ever be the same. Just know this .... Hola Sister! As I sit here and reflect on what to say and write, tears😪 are running down my face. I want everyone to know You are our Hero! You showed us and God how selfless you are and put everyone ahead of yourself.  You went thru so many ups and downs and being hurt deeply, but you always had your Faith. A heart❤ so big and beautiful. You touched so many people. I am still in shock what has happened. I will treasure all the memories we had. I see you everywhere here at home. You were just beginning a new chapter of your life and little did we know that God already had his plans and as he opened his gates of heaven and welcomed his new Angel Carmen😇. You are now pain free, breathing the fresh air and dancing in heaven. I will truly miss you and ask that you watch and comfort us, especially our Mommy(as you called her) And let us know you are always there. My Tia Carmen was a wonderful and sweet woman. I will always remember her as what the true definition of family is. Someone you could count on. Someone who unconditionally loved her family and friends. She would help you out as best as she could no matter what it was. My Tia truly has a heart of gold and God has definitely gained an Angel.

No one was ready to lose you. Not your mother, your brothers, your sisters, your daughters, your grandkids nor the rest of your family and friends. As many have said, you had a heart of gold. Life was not always easy. You were tested many times but you still kept your faith and unconditional love for everyone around you. I have many memories growing up and walking back and forth from grandma's house to yours. All of the kids would hang out, no matter the age gap, and it was genuine fun. That one little street was our second home and we all loved it. As we all grew older some of us, including myself, became distant as we all began having our own families. But Tia. I hope you always knew how much you were loved, even if it was from afar. There is a huge hole left in some many hearts and you will be forever missed. I hope that the reunion you had with grandpa and Nicholas was one for the books! Spread your beautiful wings and fly high Tia! You will forever be our guardian angel 😇

Tia Carmen,  I love and miss you so very much. You were such an amazing mother, sister, daughter and tia. As a teenager, you taught me how to download music and burn CDs. I thought it was the coolest thing. You helped me make my own mixes of my favorite songs to play in my car when I was driving. You were always there to listen anytime I needed to talk. You were always such a big cheerleader for your girls, your grandkids, nieces and nephews. Even if you couldn’t make an event, you always asked how it went and wanted to hear about it all. You cared deeply about your whole family and your friends. You had a heart of gold and were the most caring person. Even while you were going through all of this, you still thought of how we were all doing and checked in on us. I’m so glad I got to text with you and come see you and tell you how much I love you. I know you will always be with all of us. You will forever be our family’s guardian angel. I love you Tia Carmen…until we meet again! ♥️♥️

My heartfelt sorrow for Carmen's family who I know will miss her so very much.  I worked with Carmen for 6 years at Houston Northwest Hospital in the Endo Department, she was so giving and caring to all of her patients, co-workers, nurses and doctors that she worked with on a daily basis..always giving 100% to help each and every one of them..she will be sorely missed by all.  She was not only a co-worker but a very good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hi Sister!  That’s what you would say every time we talked.  Now it’s my turn to talk.  Hi Sister,  where do I begin because you won’t be answering me back 😢  Never in my mind did I think that on the day we took you to the ER that you wouldn’t be coming home to us.  But God had other plans, we just had to wait for an answer on His time.  No more pain and you can breathe without any mask, tubes or machines. You fought so hard until the end.  I won’t forget the call from the nurse telling me you were tired and going to be intubated.  I didn’t want you to see me 😭 cry and stayed strong until she hung up.
I’m so 😞 lost and 💔 heartbroken without you.  People say be strong and lean on family and friends. But I want to lean on you 😢 because that’s what sister’s do.  A bond that can’t be broken between sister’s.
You know I’m one of the most luckiest one’s  to have been chosen to be your sister.  I tell my friends about what great big heart of gold 💛 you had.  What a selfless person you were, and  would drop what you were doing no matter how tired you were and help others.  
Dealt some tough cards at times but never lost your Faith! Forgave those who hurt you no matter how bad they hurt you.  
I’ll treasure our Galveston day trip we took for some much needed therapy.   You were relaxed and smiled from ear to ear.  No worries in the world, other than the hurricane that was coming the next day.   We have many great memories. 
This isn’t goodbye sister, it’s until we meet again.  Fly 🕊 high my beautiful sister.  💜

Where do I even begin,  I miss you sooo much mommy!! Tears are rolling down my eyes as I type this little letter for you. Never in a million years did I ever think this day would come. Oh if I could get one last big hug, big kiss, or to even hear your sweet voice. Or just to hear you call me and say " Hey Girl" I love you Soo much you Are my BFF forever & always we told each other everything and anything. Where do I even begin! I met Carmen few seasons back when Veronica and I met threw softball, my oldest daughter played with Bri on their select team! She was the sweetest person, always a social butterfly I would say. Her and I would talk when she came to tournaments wether we laughed, talked bout the game or even just about life in general. She was also my gate partner when we worked tournaments, we would cut up all day with everyone. I sure am going to miss her so much and cherish all the memories we had. It is so heartbreaking knowing things won't be the same anymore but God needed her more, he chose a STRONG woman for sure with a big HEART. We love you Carmen ❤

As I am texting this and it still doesn't  feel real to me. I'm lost for words and I'm numb. This picture was our last one of us 3 and I will never ever forget these moments. You are an amazing  woman with a heart so pure and gold filled with tons of love for all. Never in a million years did I think we would lose you this way but God had a plan all along. Your mission here was complete and he needed you by his side next to the alter. I love you mom and I will always love you until the day after forever 💛❤💕💙💖💓

I met Carmen through Veronica and softball. Over the entire summer, she was there supporting her grand daughter and our team. You could argue that she adopted 10 more grand daughters this summer alone plus countless more over the years. 

I cant even express how saddening this is because she was always so quick to offer input and advice. We shared laughs under the tents collecting entry fees. We would pick on the girls and have a great time joking around with them. 

She had an amazing spirit. However, God had bigger plans for her and I can only offer my deepest condolences to everyone. 

Time heals everything. Time corrects everything. Time is the solution to every problem, I believe. A lot of things can happen with time. All that has to be there is the intention.
