David Edward Czelusniak

David Edward Czelusniak, 64, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 28, 1961, in Amsterdam, NY, David grew up in Schenectady, where he formed lifelong friendships and the foundation for the life he would cherish so deeply.

A proud graduate of Mohonasen High School’s Class of 1979, David went on to earn his associate’s degree in Non-Destructive Testing from Schenectady County Community College. His dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence led him to a successful career as an API inspector for more than 30 years. David took great pride in his work, and his professionalism earned him respect throughout the industry.

David married the love of his life, Lilli, with whom he built a beautiful, close-knit family. He was the proud father of six children, Matthew Czelusniak (Sarah), Emily Czelusniak, Ryan Moreman (Amanda), Cass Moreman (Beverly), Trace Moreman (Krista), and Morgan Nichols (Kristian). He is also survived by his beloved brother and sister, Jim Czelusniak (Kathy) and Gail Czelusniak who shared in the laughter, memories, and adventures of his life. He was also the adoring and fun grandpa of sixteen grandchildren, Logan, Gabriella, Becca, MaKayla, Teygan, Payton, Kaylee, Easton, Ava, Mason, McKenna, Chloe, Eisley, Ezra, Jeremiah, and Jonah and and two great-grandchildren, Carter and Braylen, each of whom brought him immense joy. His dog Bailey was his constant companion and could always be found by his side during driveway conversations. His family was his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and easygoing nature, David loved nothing more than enjoying good company. He found happiness on the golf course, cigar in hand, and treasured the conversations shared with friends and neighbors. Social by nature and generous in spirit, David made everyone around him feel welcome and valued.

Above all, David lived a life defined by love—love for his family, his friends, and the simple joys that made up his days. His legacy of kindness, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home, located at 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339, United States. The service is scheduled for January 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
