Herbert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After, he went on to a rewarding 40 year career in airline cargo sales. After years of hard work and dedication, Herbert became President of the Houston Air Cargo Association.
Herbert was an avid golfer and greatly appreciated the outdoors. He especially loved skiing the mountains of Jackson Hole.
Anyone who knew Herbert knew he had three loves: his family, the airline industry, and golf.
Herbert is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Donna; two daughters, Jennifer Levanduski and son-in-law Roger, and Keri Winter; two grandchildren, Brayden and Blake Levanduski, and several nieces and nephews.
Herbert is preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret and Herbert M. Winter, and sister, Norma Jean Willis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Kingwood Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mr. Winter will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Herbert will then be laid to rest in Rosewood Cemetery in Porter, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations in Herbert Winter’s honor to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center or the Houston Air Cargo Association Scholarship Fund.
