

Hollis was born November 22, 1938, in Crockett, Texas to Hollis Webster Bradshaw and Lillie Jewel (née Stansel) Bradshaw. His family subsequently moved to Clute, Texas where he was raised. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a great grandfather. He was married to his wife Theresa for 17 years and 11 months.
Hollis served in the United States Army as a Transportation Specialist in the Vietnam war. He spent 13 years in the service and proudly achieved the rank of Captain with an honorable discharge. Hollis retired from the Texas Department of Corrections after 25 years of service; during his employment he organized many charity golf tournaments for TDC.
Beyond his professional achievements, he had a passion for helping others. He loved telling jokes and organizing events at our church. He was known for building furniture using his skills in woodworking. He enjoyed trail rides with his horses and loved animals. Hollis also enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to visit his uncle, Charles Bradshaw, who preceded him in death.
Hollis will be deeply missed by his beloved family, including his wife Theresa, and his three daughters, Amy Kleiman (Louis) of Fairfax, Virginia, Sherrie Felder (Tim) of Freeport, Texas and Tina Blair of Wilsonville, Oregon. He has 7 grandchildren, Brenna Kleiman, Marissa Kleiman, Lauren Sonka (Carlos) Kyle Felder, Keegan Blair (Madison), Kaitlyn Blair and Jordyn Doherty. He also has 5 great-grandchildren, Levi, Hagen, Callen, Gianna and Iris. He is proceeded in death by his sister, Jewel Dean Bass, Houston Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jo Eason of Lake Hills, Texas and many, many extended family members and good friends.
As we say goodbye to Hollis, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives with his outgoing personality, the kindness he shared with others, and the lasting impact he had. We pray his soul finds eternal peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who mourn his loss.
A memorial service for Hollis will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339.
