He was born on March 14, 1956 the son of James Gordon Barry Jr. and Marilyn (Young) Barry in Austin, Texas.
Jim’s hobbies included many things such as reading, music of all genres, pigeon racing, soapbox derbies, camping, fishing, and most of all he loved to travel and go on adventures with his family.
He is survived by his four sons; Andrew Barry, James G. Barry IV, Matthew Barry, and Daniel Barry, his former wife; Candace MacAllister, two sisters; Joan Whitfill and Lynnette Barry, and numerous cousins, nieces and other family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas 77339.
