Memorial services for Jerome F. Plumberg, age 72, of Kingwood, Texas will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service from 3:00-5:00pm.
Jerome F. Plumberg passed away in Houston on May 25, 2022. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 21, 1949 to Juliette and Frank Plumberg. He married Gail Newman Plumberg on May 27, 1972, and this year marked their 50th wedding anniversary.
Jerry was never afraid of hard work and began working as a golf caddy at age 8 at Kansas City Country Club. He owned numerous businesses in Kansas City, including a window manufacturing company and a wholesale building materials enterprise. His last career was here in Kingwood at Merrill Lynch, where he was a financial advisor and trusted friend to his clients. He retired from Merrill in 2018.
A devout Catholic, Jerry served as an usher at St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Kingwood for decades.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judy and Sharon; as well as his beloved first-born daughter, Sara Emily Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Gail; daughters, Kristen Noël Plumberg (Nick), and Julie Allen (Jordan); as well as son-in-law, Bradley Wilson; grandchildren, MJ Allen, Madelyn, Aidyn and Aubrey Wilson, and Everleigh Bennett.
Other survivors include siblings, Tom (Bonnie), Dave (Chris), Bob (Judy), Peggy (Mark), Bill (Becky), Chuck (Beth Ann), John (Georgianne), and Mark; along with numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, and finally, his adoring pup, Maggie May.
