Jerry was born in Houston, TX to J.T. Caldwell and Francis Dormilie Wood on August 8, 1946. Jerry was raised by his father and mother, J.T . and Johnnie Caldwell. Jerry willingly spent four years in the Navy to serve his country in the Vietnam war. After his service in the Navy, Jerry spent the rest of his life in the construction business as a construction superintendent which he enjoyed. Jerry’s main passion in life was hunting and fishing with his friends and family. There is nothing Jerry loved more than being in the woods waiting on the next big deer to cross his path or in a boat waiting to reel in a big fish. More than anything, Jerry was a family man. He cherished the moments he could spend with his children and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his two son’s Jerry(Bo) Wayne Caldwell and Richard Earl Caldwell and also by his daughter Dusty Ann Caldwell. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jessica Ann Caldwell, Chelsie Marie Caldwell, Christopher Ryan Caldwell, Dominique Nicole Bufford, Austin Thomas Caldwell and Jeremiah Tucker Caldwell. He also has one great grandchild, Kallie Hester. He is also survived by his brother Buford Ray Caldwell and his wife Nelda Fay Caldwell, and his best friend Paul Savage.
