

Jesse was born in Kennard, Texas to Jesse Thomas Lowery and Mineola (Best) Lowery on February 21, 1925. He was married to Ola Marine (Boykin) Lowery for 40 years and was preceded in death by her. He had three children, son Mark Lowery, and wife, Susan Cottellesse, Karen Lowery Burke, and husband Doc Burke, Janet Lowery Mathis, and husband, Pat Mathis. Three stepchildren, Theresa Bradshaw and husband, Hollis Bradshaw, Ronnie Coalson and wife, Sandy Coalson, Debbie Ellingburg and husband, Eddie Ellingburg, and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his son, Mark Lowery and his stepson, Ronnie Coalson. He was loved by all who knew him.
He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1948. He served as a Hospital Apprentice, Second Class, USNR at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
He was a machinist for Champion Paper in Pasadena, Texas and retired from there.
Everyone he met loved him, he always had a positive attitude, never complaining about anything and very appreciative of everything. His favorite mantra, with a smile on his face, was, “I’m the luckiest old man I know”.
He was very much loved and will be truly missed.
