Karen Bishop Pfeiffer

Karen Bishop Pfeiffer, a beloved mother, wife, and friend, passed away on June 24, 2025, leaving a profound void in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She was born on July 1, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas, to Brooks and Anna May Bishop. Karen's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit, boundless love, and desire to make life worth living.

Karen attended Vidor High School and graduated from Lamar University with a BBA in Fashion Merchandising. After graduating, she worked for Foley’s department stores as a Buyer for over 20 years. Her work took her around the globe, developing children’s clothing and igniting her love for travel. It was during one of these work trips that she met her husband, Dennis, with whom she shared over 40 wonderful years of marriage.

Above all, Karen's greatest pride and joy were her two children, Eric and Madison. She often expressed how they transformed her life for the better, and her unconditional love and unwavering support were the cornerstones of their lives.

Karen loved being there for her family and for others. She took special joy in her involvement with numerous organizations including PTAs, National Charity League, and the Kingwood High School Choir, just to name a few.

Though she is no longer with us, Karen leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding us all of the beauty of a life lived with purpose and compassion.

Karen is survived by her husband Dennis, and two children Eric and Madison. As well as by her sister Vikki Lowery and her brother Brooks Bishop II.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 19th at 2:00 PM at Strawbridge United Methodist Church (5629 Kingwood Dr. Kingwood, TX 77345) in the Sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Karen’s memory to the American Lung Association.
