Leatrice Joy Payne

1923-2016

Our mother Joy was a “JOY” to all who knew her. She left us on Thursday, May 5, 2016, having a strong faith in her Lord and Savior and thankful for the 92 years that she was allowed. She was born in Houston, TX on Sept. 8, 1923 and lived in Houston, San Leon and Kingwood, TX. Joy was retired from The Port of Houston where she worked for 15 years. She was predeceased by her husband J.F. (Jim) Payne and her brother Leon Lux. She is survived by her children Katherine Payne Sisson (Bob) and Denny Payne (Mary). Grandchildren Brad Sisson (Darcy), Berkley Sisson (Michelle), Blake Sisson, Dustin Payne (Gabriella), Josh Payne (Natalie), and Heather Payne Vargas (Thomas). Great Grandchildren Trace Sisson, Payne Sisson, B J Sisson, Bobby Sisson, Berkley Sisson, Jr., Mitchell Sisson, Stevie Guzman, Amaris Vargas, Gabriel Payne, and Olivia Payne. There will be a Memorial Service for friends and family at 3:30 pm on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Watercrest at Kingwood Retirement Community, located at 24109 Kingwood Place Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339.
