They moved to Louisville, KY in 1972 when Roger accepted a position with Betz Laboratories. Both of their children, Macj and Margaret, were born in Louisville. As an avid Houston Astro's fan, Roger had season tickets for the past 35 years. It gave him great pleasure to gift those Astros tickets to family, friends, and church members so they could share the joy of the game.
Roger and Nancy have been active parishioners at St. Martha Catholic Church since 1983. He loved sharing his faith with others, and for 25 years he taught CCE to the youth at St. Martha. They both acted as Sponsor Couple for over 10 years and helped prepare young couples for the Sacrament of Marriage.
Being a husband, father and grandad was the most important thing in his life. Roger's grandchildren brought him so much joy and happiness, and he treasured the time he spent with them. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service to others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through his family, friends and the many lives he touched.
