It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Dale Lloyd, who left us peacefully on April 26th at 2:14 at the age of 66. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was a man who touched many lives with his strength, wisdom, and kindness.
Born on June 25th 1958 ,Roger was a man who loved the water spending much of his life as a fisherman. Whether it was the lake of the ocean, it was both his escape and his sanctuary, where he found solace in the waves crashing on the shore and catching all the catfish. His weathered hands and strong, steady presence spoke of a man who could endure any storm, whether on the water or in life.
He was a proud machinist by trade, a testament to his skill and work ethic. To his family and friends, he was the embodiment of dependability—hard-working, disciplined, and always there when needed. While his exterior was tough, built by years of labor and the harsh elements, those who knew him well understood the tenderness of his spirit. He was a man who loved deeply, offering his affection in quiet moments and through his actions rather than words.
As a father, Roger was a guiding figure—steady, loving, protective, stern, and fiercely loyal. He taught his children the importance of resilience, hard work, and respect for others. As a grandfather, he was a source of joy, his playful nature and heartfelt advice leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Roger was also a loving husband to his wife, Elizabeth, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of memories, laughter, and mutual understanding for one another.
His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched. He leaves behind his children, Lewis, George, and Ana his grandchildren Reign, Gemma, and Violet and countless friends and loved ones who will forever remember his strength, his heart, and the deep love he carried for those around him.
Rest in peace, Roger. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
