2/25/1946 to 12/26/2025
Rudy Pil, age 79, a resident of Humble, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.
Rudy is survived by his beloved wife, Cristina Sedigo Pil, and their children: Marthin, Katrina, Ana, Joseph Bernard, and Carmelle. He also leaves behind his cherished 10 grandchildren, daughters-in-law Dianne and Rea, and sons-in-law Thomas, Conan and Christian. He is further survived by his siblings, Dominador and Erlinda, nieces, nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Rudy was born in Matalom, Leyte, Philippines, and later moved to Ormoc City, Leyte, where he met Cristina—the love of his life. They were married in 1976 and built a life together rooted in love, faith, and family. Ormoc became the place where they raised their children and shared countless memories. In March 2016, Rudy and Cristina began a new chapter together when they moved to the United States, carrying with them the same devotion to family that defined their life in the Philippines.
Rudy was known as a loving husband, a devoted father, and a “Tatay” (father) to extended family and friends. He was generous, kind, and deeply caring, always putting others before himself. One of his greatest joys was cooking—he found happiness in serving others through hearty meals lovingly prepared for family and friends.
A man of strong faith, Rudy faithfully served the Lord as an altar boy in the Archdiocese of Palo, Leyte, Philippines, and was an active member of the Couples for Christ community in the Philippines for 32 years. His faith guided his life and inspired those around him.
Rudy loved music, history, cooking, and being in the company of people. He was well-rounded, wise, full of life and rich in stories, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and generosity. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
The Pil family would like to express their deepest gratitude to family and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Special thanks to nephew Ian and niece Chyrell for their compassion and assistance during Rudy’s final moments at the hospital, and to everyone who offered financial support. Your kindness will always be remembered.
Rudy Pil will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
