Sgt. Baumgartner was an amazing Lawman, awesome co-worker, and great friend to so many. He lead and he followed. He taught and he learned. He laughed and he loved. Sgt. Baumgartner wore his uniform with pride and took his oath to serve seriously and did all he could to help others.
Courageous and Compassionate, Fearless and Fair, this Brave and Benevolent Son, Husband, Father, and Brother of Blue simply wanted to make a difference in his small corner of the world. Brother Stacey was a long standing member of our organization and was True Blue to the bone. Whether it be a Blue doing what we do best, or if one in need, and especially the loss of a Law Enforcement Officer, Stacey was there through the cheers and the tears, no matter the town, county, or state. This is the man you wanted in your corner, along with his amazing bride.
May we take a part of Brother Stacey's legacy with us when we enter into our daily arenas while continuing to create our own. May we vow to carry on the watch with the same Pride, Integrity, and Honor as this True Blue served.
He is survived by his wife Donna Baumgartner; daughter Chloe; son Brent; mother Valerie Bellew and step-father James; brothers, Carl Baumgartner and Dwayne Bryant and his wife Ashlee; sister Peggy Carty and her husband Billy; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his brothers and sisters in Blue. Preceding him in death is his father Milton Baumgartner.
