Vance was the beloved son of Genevieve Lane, a devoted husband to Susanne Lane for 47 beautiful years, and a proud father to three children (Christopher, Sabrina and Johann) and a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Vance carried a deep sense of loyalty, strength, and honor throughout his life. He was a fighter, diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago and given just six months to live, yet he met every day with courage, hope, and an unbreakable spirit.
Vance was a man of many passions. He poured his heart into writing, creating, and singing his own music, always sharing his light and creativity with those around him. On weekends, he found joy and freedom riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his brothers from the American Legion Post 127, a community that brought him great pride, friendship, and laughter.
To know Vance was to know kindness, strength, resilience, and a deep love for family and life’s simple pleasures. His laughter, his songs, and his endless love will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
Though he is no longer with us, Vance’s spirit will ride on, in the music he created, the memories he made, and the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
