

Virginia Ellanora (Kellermeier) Andrews, age 86, died February 27, 2017; she was the first child (and first daughter) of Albert William and Ida M. (Braden) Kellermeier of Paint Rock, Texas. She was born August 31, 1930 in her parents' farm home; she is survived by her three sons, Charles William (Shirley) and their daughters, Crystal (Aaron) Belote, Stacy Cotie and Sarah Andrews, also Tom Andrews and Dennis Andrews and his daughter Ashley (James) and son Sean (Rachel), and seven great-grandchildren. Virginia married Charles Nation Andrews in 1953; he died in October 1977; Virginia will be buried beside him in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston. Virginia had one brother, Leo Frank Kellermeier, who died in 1999; and is survived by her five sisters, Thedora Turcotte, Veronica Hattermann, Gladys Kubitz, Louise Kellermeier and Cecilia Klaus.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home. Private Interment service will be at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX
Virginia attended elementary school at Dry Hollow, a Concho County school, and Eola High School, and graduated in 1948. She took Western Union training in Oklahoma City, then worked for the company a few months in Lamesa, Texas, then in the Galveston and Houston offices. She then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for about 23 years until she retired from AT&T in 1997.
Virginia especially enjoyed the many tour bus trips she took on vacations, most of which were to many western states and especially two-week tours of seven countries in Europe and a NE Fall Foliage tour in 1981.
