

Bill was born on November 10, 1949, in Palestine, Texas. He built a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for the people and activities that brought him joy. Throughout his career, Bill worked for Cameron, Boots & Coots, and Haliburton, where he earned the respect of colleagues through his strong work ethic and steady presence.
Outside of work, Bill truly lived life to the fullest. He had a passion for fishing, cooking, skiing, and rodeo. Whether he was casting a line, preparing a meal for loved ones, or enjoying the thrill of the outdoors, Bill found happiness in sharing those moments with others. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and the warmth he brought to family and friends.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Sheridan, who stood by his side through life’s many seasons ; his daughter, Sheila M. Turner and husband Ben Turner; his grandson, Alex James Portillo and wife Sabrina Portillo, his great grand daughter Raelyn Portillo and great grand son Elijah Portillo; his grand daughter Kristen Hillary Fort and husband Brodi Fort; his great grand sons Troy Fort, Wyat Fort, Emyt Fort; his sisters, Nancy Sheridan Winegar and husband Mark Winegar, and Anne Sheridan Wilcox and husband Wayne Wilcox; his uncle, Michael Sheridan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nugent Lewis Sheridan and Robbie Hunt Sheridan.
A memorial service will be held at Kingwood Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Bill’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
