

Zane Michael Montana was born on March 12, 1992 in Irvine, California the son of John and Tina Montana.
He graduated from Clear Creek High School in 2010. In April the following year he enlisted in the United States Air Force. After he graduated basic training in July 2011, he was sent to Sheppard AFB to attend Aerospace Ground Equipment technical training school. Upon graduation in December 2011, Zane was assigned to the 7th Equipment Maintenance Squadron at Dyess AFB, Texas. In March 2013, he was assigned to the 3rd Maintenance Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska. Zane was loved by the men and women of the 3rd Maintenance Squadron and friends. He always jumped at the opportunity to teach and help out fellow Airmen. His positive can do attitude was contagious to others and his love for the outdoors was unmatched. Zane’s other interests included cooking, trying out new recipes, and four wheeling.
Zane is survived by his father John Montana, sisters Cerise Whichard and Alana Montana, and brother, Gregory Montana. Preceding him in death is his mother, Tina Montana.
A memorial service was held for Zane on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, in Alaska.
There will be a funeral service on Saturday, May 14, 2016 starting at 2:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North Kingwood, Texas 77339.
