ABIMBOLA [ABI] BAMIGBADE

Abimbola (Abi) Bamigbade, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, May 26th, 2022. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, and a source of strength, teaching and joy to her family. Abimbola was born in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria on May 6, 1969. She was the third child of Emmanuel Olasupo and Patience Omotunde Omisakin. She attended Sacred Heart Primary School in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. At the age of 10, she started her secondary school at Federal Government Girls College, Owerri, Imo State. She then proceeded to the University of Ife, Ile-Ife, in Osun State in Nigeria, where she studied Pharmacy. She excelled in her studies and graduated with honors. She also met her husband during her studies at the University of Ife. She married her husband, Segun on February 20th, 1992. After graduation, she worked at multiple pharmaceutical companies, including Bristol Mayers Squib and Pfizer. She later went on to build her own marketing medical agency named MEDILINK. At MEDILINK, she created multiple marketing ads and promotions for multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Abi moved to Canada in October 2005 to re-train as a pharmacist at the University of Toronto and gained licensure in 2007. She was reunited with her family in Ontario in June 2008. Abi diligently pursued her professional career with Zellers Pharmacy in 2012 and then joined Walmart Pharmacy where she worked till her transition to be with the Lord.

Abimbola was a joyful person who loved God and desired the best for all around her. In the course of her lifetime, she overcame life’s challenges quietly and cheerfully always saying “this too shall pass”. She constantly thanked the Lord for all He had done in her life. She was a woman of faith and a strong member of the spiritual gathering to which the family belonged. She played active role at fellowships, prayer meetings and events that proclaimed the name of the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Segun and her three children, Tolubi, Tobi and Tomisin. Abi will also be sorely missed by her four sisters Tomi, Ebun, Bola, Anu and brother, Pastor Olasupo.
