Born on December 7, 1938, in Ponza, Italy, Adelaide had a way of bringing warmth, joy, and laughter to everyone around her.
She was the beloved wife of the late Valerio Marrocco and a devoted mother to Tony Marrocco, Angela Hodgins (Pat), and Sandra Wilczynski (Richard). Adelaide will be remembered by her siblings Luigi Cristo (Suzanne), Mary Ciardullo (Vince), John Cristo, and Frank Cristo (Annette). She leaves behind a legacy carried on by her grandchildren: Samantha Hebb (Gregory), Lesley Mason (Adam), Stephanie Marrocco (Jordan), and Taylor Musgrave (Matthew); while she is now reunited with her late grandson, Matthew Hodgins. She was a proud and loving Bisnonna to Roman, Noah, Leila, Rory, Mackenzie, Riley, and Wyatt, who brought out her playful spirit.
Adelaide had a larger-than-life presence, known for her quick wit, her love of Super Nintendo, and spending her afternoons watching soap operas. She was the heart of every Saturday morning mall trip, the mastermind behind sneaking chocolate into lunches, and never let a guest leave hungry—mangia, mangia!
She had no poker face, no filter, and no hesitation in telling it like it was. Whether playing croquet, taking her grandkids to the park, or blueberry picking, her greatest joy was time spent with family. She always had a winning lottery ticket in hand—if not in reality, at least in spirit.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love, laughter, and chocolate cake will live on in all of us.
Adelaide’s words of wisdom will echo in our hearts forever: "Watch out for the crazy people"
