It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda (nee Richardson), who left us on Thursday, March 20, 2025 after a courageous fight. Brenda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her boundless love, strength, and compassion.
Brenda was the devoted spouse of Brian for 43 years, and together they shared a lifetime of love and memories. She was a proud and loving mother to her children, Chris (Crystal), Stephen (Sarah), and Laura (Travis), and her heart overflowed with pride for each of them. Brenda was also the adored grandmother to eight grandchildren: Aria, Aleea, Ryder, Ava, Tyler, Oliver, Harlan, and Audrey. Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them was unshakeable.
As a sister, Brenda brought joy and warmth to her siblings Wayne (Donna), Diane (Dennis), and Joy (Richard), and as a sister-in-law to Paul, she shared many cherished moments. Her generosity of spirit and kindness touched everyone she met, and her positive energy was a gift to all who knew her.
Brenda’s greatest joy came from being a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She poured her heart into these roles and found fulfillment in nurturing her family with love and support. Her warm embrace, her infectious smile, and her thoughtful presence will be forever missed.
In her free time, Brenda had a deep passion for quilting, creating beautiful works of art that were cherished by those lucky enough to receive them. She also had a unique habit of picking up rocks wherever she went, a small but meaningful gesture that reflected her ability to find beauty in the simplest of things.
Brenda’s kindness, loving nature, and gratitude were a testament to her beautiful soul. Her legacy of love, positivity, and resilience will live on through her family, and she will forever be remembered as a shining example of what it means to live a life full of grace and love.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., on Tuesday, March 25th at 12 noon. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice - Fund a Day.
