Onkel Carl introduced music to me through his orff program. I will be eternally grateful for this. He was and good man and will be missed by many.

Dear Theresa and Family,

We want to express my sincere gratitude for the many ways Carl touched the hearts of so many children over the years teaching orff in WCDSB. We have fond memories of driving our own children to your home on Saturday mornings for an orff lesson with Carl. One of our first memories moving to Kitchener with family visiting from out of town took place during Octoberfest where Carl's band was playing. His "joi de vivre" was catchy and often expressed through his radiant smile .  May you experience his presence in new ways.  Holding you and your family in our hearts and prayer. My deepest sympathies go to the family of Mr Schropp. May he rest in peace with God. 
 He’ll always be Mr Schropp to me. I was a very young student of 5 many years ago at The Children’s Music Studio on Queen St where I developed my love of singing and knowledge of music. Thank you Mr and Mrs Schropp for that.

My condolences to Theresa, Carla, and Mary Jo and to all of the family members. I do remember being in the studio with Carla and then sitting on the Carl Orff Society as a member with Carl,  Theresa and Mary Jo. 
To his sister, Else Osbelt, I also send my deepest condolences.

I, too, attended Carl Schropp's studio on Queen St. He was a kind and gentle individual with a love of life and a great sense of humour. Going up the stairs to his studio was one of my favourite things to do, albeit sometimes late in arriving. 
He was very talented with a wealth of knowledge about music.
I ended up taking my level 1 and 2 Orff level courses.  We also attended conferences and workshops together.
I was able to acquire Orff instruments in my first year of teaching at Victoria School and I took them with me to every school where I taught, building resources every few years. The last being, Wellesley P.S. where they are still. Wellesley P.S. has a thriving recorder program where they have soprano, alto, tenor and bass recorders. 
I am very grateful for his sharing of his love of music with me. He will be missed.

I first met Mr. Schropp at his Music Sudio on Queen St . as one of his first students . It was there I learned to read Music, play the Orff Instruments & the Alto Recorder .
To this day I remember his Love for teaching Music , and the sparkle in his eyes when he did so  .
I was quite proud to be able to play in a Recorder Quartet at my Church in 2004 (Blessed Sacrament) and be able to keep up, after many years of not playing the instrument . 
But most of all I will never forget his kindness , his strong work-ethic ; and  his love for Music  . 💕🎶
My Condolences to his Family & Friends , as I know he will be missed .

Maryjo, John, Carla and the Schropp family, friends and all who loved him,  I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Schropp. He was my first choir director and set me on the path to a love of choral music that continues to today. May angels sing him home, May his memory bring comfort and laughter.

Dear Theresa and family.   Cathy and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Carl.  I have fond memories from my  time in the St. Agnes choir that Carl led so expertly and lovingly (we were a great group). We enjoyed many good times at our get togethers (you gave some really nice Christmas parties).

What a life well lived!  He was always so cheerful.

Oktoberfest memories flood back, especially of him performing for the school groups when Oktoberfest lunches were provided as part of the cultural celebrations.

He is a Kitchener-Waterloo legend living on now in our memories!

Mary-Jo and family. I am so sorry to hear of Carl’s passing. I have many memories of him in music workshops  and he was a great help to me with the Orff instruments. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am grateful for the wonderful Oktoberfest music Mr. Schropp provided annually for the students at Blessed Sacrament School. He will be missed. Blessings and prayers to all the Schropp clan.

When we think of Carl we think of the music. Thinking of you, Theresa & your family during these sad days. It has been a long journey. God bless.
