To our Zia Rita, I remember as a little girl you’d always come over to my Nonno & nonnas.  You and Maria (my nonna) would go on for hours around her kitchen table drinking your expressos talking about anything and everything together. Your laughter was everything.  I will never forget your smile and the love you showed my family . Your like another nonna in my eyes. Always in my heart. Rest in paradise. 
“ it’s not goodbye its I’ll see you later “. 

My deepest sympathy to Rita's family.  Rita was a dear friend at the cottage for many years and we will miss her greatly.  Rita used to walk up the hill just about every 2nd day to check on the Miles clan.  She would make my dad ("Happy") bread and stick it in the cottage door when it was still warm - dad loved that bread.  Us girls remember Rita showing us how to make pasta from scratch - that was a fun afternoon.  Then, of course, she invited the whole neighbourhood over to eat it.  Rita was so generous and loved to cook for everyone.  Rita would do anything for you, she was always ready to help.  Joanne, Mum, and I will sure miss her visits - she was a true friend and neighbour.  
Sergio & Carlos - take comfort in knowing that your mum was loved by a whole lot of people and we are all thinking about you.  May your memories help you get through this difficult time.

Our parents, Rita and Vincenzo Caccioppoli first met Joe and Rita around 1969, when they first came to our little store on Bridgeport Road.    Our parents became good friends and would often enjoy time together at Long Point Beach and other special events.
  Rita would always remain a good friend to our Mom and after both of their husbands were gone, Rita would always come visit our Mom (Rita) at home.         She was always kind and a very positive person.    
    The Caccioppoli family extends their deepest Sympathy to  Sergio and Carlo and their families.

I first met Rita and Joe in 1982 , as I was a young girl of 16 when they came to visit their sons Sergio and Carlo and meet me and my family, due to the fact that Carlo and I had been engaged to be married soon. Who was now becoming my new mother and father in law's they took to me right away and I appreciated their love towards me, and being married apart from them we soon met up in Canada, where Rita (Mom) was very happy and protective over what she used to say the daughter she never got to have.  Now as time went on , my marriage may not have lasted, but my love and respect for my children kept us as friends and family.  I will remember her in the most loving and sensible of ways, being she was my mother also all the years away from my own. I loved her dearly and thank her for all the knowledge I've gained throughout my adulthood. Rest in peace Ma.

We first met Rita and Joseph in Florida when they visited Boca Raton. Their Son Carlo, Married our Daughter Stephanie, and the friendship began. We visited Rita and Joe, when our Daughter and Their son, Carlo, were having their first child, Joseph (Joey) LoRusso. At that time we became a closer family, because of our First Grandchild. I will always remember Rita as a loving and generous woman. She always wanted the family to remain close and be good to one another. My memories of Rita (my Nina's other Nonna), will always be of respect and thanksgiving, for helping our Daughter Stephanie, and Grandchildren, Joey and Nina, when we weren't able to be there!
May God bless her soul now, as she is with God. "Absent in the body, present with the lord."  Our Sympathy,  to Carlo & Sergio.
