AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Dale Garth Dorey

25 septembre 1965 – 6 février 2026
Avis de décès de Dale Garth Dorey
AUX SOINS DE

Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dale Dorey, who passed away at home on February 6, 2026.

Dale was a larger-than-life presence — sociable, independent, outgoing, and full of heart. When he walked into a room, he truly lit it up. Known for his big sense of humour and playful flirtatious charm, Dale was the life of every party. He loved to laugh, loved to tease, and above all, loved to connect with people. His kindness knew no bounds; he would help anyone in need without hesitation.

Born with a strong work ethic and a natural talent for fixing just about anything, Dale was a true jack of all trades. He moved to Kitchener in 1989 at the age of 24, where he built both his career and his community. He worked in construction with Gran-Val Construction for many years before joining Jared Fencing in 1998, where he spent 15 years as a foreman chain-link fence installer. His leadership and dedication eventually led him to serve as a superintendent with Linwood Management for many years. Dale took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.

Outside of work, Dale embraced life fully. He loved playing Bingo, singing Karaoke, and cheering passionately for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Whether gathered with friends, family, or neighbours, Dale’s laughter and energy were contagious.

He is survived by his daughter, Deidre Le Blanc of Alberta. He also leaves behind his precious cat, Bubby, who was his constant companion and brought him great comfort and joy.

Dale will be dearly missed by his siblings: George (Della) Dorey of West Arichat, N.S.; Roderick (Roddie) Dorey of Kitchener; Geneva (Arthur) Flemming of Canso, N.S.; Marlene (Mark) McCaskie of Port Elgin; Carmella Dorey of Slave Lake, AB; Geraldine (Deanie) Dorey of Kitchener; and Magnolia (Holly) Dorey of Red Deer, AB.

He was a cherished uncle to Matthew Dorey of Arichat, N.S.; Justin MacIntyre of N.S.; Rod Dorey of Cambridge; Arthur Flemming and Jarrod Flemming, both of Halifax, N.S.; Trevor Dorey of Janvrin Island, N.S.; Steven Dorey of Slave Lake, AB; Tyler and Tayler Dorey, both of Kitchener; Daniel Dorey of Red Deer, AB; Kathleen Bourgue of AB; Amanda Dorey of Sydney, N.S.; Malorie Dorey of Port Hawkesbury, N.S.; and Erica Mann of Red Deer, AB.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, George Dorey (2022) and Doris Dorey (2013), and his older brother Marvin Dorey (2012).

Cremation has taken place.

Dale’s sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all who knew him. His laughter, his strength, his generosity, and his bright spirit will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
