Delphine Grace Kavelman Martin

MARTIN (nee Kavelman) Delphine Grace – Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Grand River Hospital on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the age of 99 years. Delphine has been reunited with her beloved husband Walter, who predeceased her in 1978. Cherished mother of Geraldine Peltz, Leonard Martin (Jean), Fred Martin (Barbara), Yvonne Disano (Richard) and Howard Martin (friend Marion). Proud Grandma of many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Delphine is predeceased by her sister, Hilda Litwiller (1996), daughter-in-law, Darlene Martin (2002), son-in-law, Murray Peltz , and by a granddaughter in infancy (1968). Delphine was a long-time member of the congregation at St. Joseph’s RC Church. She had a passion for travel, and when at home, was an avid card player known for her skill at Solo.

Friends may call at the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre (1001 Ottawa St. South, at Westmount Rd) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Madison Ave., Kitchener, with Fr. Brian Quigley as celebrant. Reception to follow at the church, then the Rite of Committal at Memory Gardens.
