

She is now reunited with her beloved husband and best friend, Ken (2025).
Predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Violet (née Woodrow) Zroback, and her brother-in-law William Dunn.
Betty will be deeply missed by her loving sister Louise (Gunther) of Thunder Bay, and her sister-in-law Donna (Ron). She will be fondly remembered by her nephews Stanley (Rachel), Jason, Steven (Erin), Mark (Stacey), and Robert (Barbra) of Australia. Cherished great-aunt to Amber (Devan), Chloe (Hunter), Sydney (Kirk), Madison (Dallas), and Zachary (Karly).
Betty devoted her career to education, where she inspired young minds as an elementary school teacher working with children ages 6–12. She also served as an itinerant teacher of reading within a Special Education setting, offering support and encouragement to students who needed it most.
In her retirement, Betty embraced life with curiosity and joy. She and Ken travelled extensively, especially enjoying winter destinations together. She had a longstanding passion for following competitive figure skating, and in quieter moments, she found pleasure in completing jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku.
Betty was an active and valued member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Kitchener-Waterloo Woman’s Probus Club, and especially cherished her time with her Bridge Club. She also enjoyed meaningful moments spent at the Trinity Village Adult Day Program.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Betty’s Life at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, on April 11th, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
Betty will be laid to rest with her beloved Ken at St. George of Forest Hill Anglican Cemetery at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. George of Forest Hill Anglican Church or to a charity of your choice.
Betty will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to others, and the warmth she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
