Beloved husband of Betty Vannatter (née Good) for 64 years. Dear father of Ivy Vannatter, Todd Vannatter (Cindy), and Tammy Kind (Ralph). Loved grandfather of Katie, Eric, and Lori. Predeceased by his brother Ford, and his sisters Ruby, Marjorie, Pearl, Zora, and Rena.
Ernie was a dedicated Orange Lodge member for 70 years. His career spanned over 50 years as a welder and metal fabricator. In his spare time, he enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing in Fenelon Falls. Ernie was dedicated to his family and believed in staying connected to relatives and long-term friends.
Cremation has taken place. Ernie’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., where the memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Chris Fickling officiating. Interment Williamsburg Cemetery at a later date.
