Her Life:
Ivanka was born on January 8th, 1960 in the small town of Derventa in the state of Bosnia and Hercegovina, in the former Yugoslavia.
She moved to the city of Zenica as a young girl with her family where she grew up and went to school.
She met Saladin in Zenica in her teenage years where the two fell in love.
They both later moved to Sarajevo to attend college where she graduated as an Electronics & Telecommunications Engineer.
She gave birth to her first son, Alen, in 1991 in Zenica and shortly thereafter the family was forced to flee from their home country and move to Germany due to the outset of the Yugoslav War.
Ivanka worked tirelessly to provide a good life for her family despite this turn of events and in 1995 she gave birth to her second son, Benjamin, in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
The family then moved to Canada in 1996 where they decided to settle and make their home in the city of Kitchener, Ontario.
Ivanka had a diverse career in Canada where she worked for NCR, RIM (Blackberry), Thalmic Labs and most recently Aeryon Labs.
Ivanka was a kind, intelligent, hardworking and thoughtful person who was devoted to her family and treated everyone she met with love and respect.
She was deeply interested in history, she loved to read, and she would spend her spare time at home with her family and in her garden.
Ivanka was a truly beautiful person, an amazing mother and wife, an example of dignity, honesty and love, a kind and compassionate soul for whom there is no equal.
Our hearts are broken to lose her, she will be truly missed but her legacy and memory will remain with us always.
We love you mama!
